## What it does

- **Crosswords on any topic.** Type a subject (“History Of Paper”, “Curling Terminology”, “Notorious Jailbreaks”) and CrossIQ picks answer words, writes clues, and interlocks them into an across-and-down grid. The app’s own advice: the bigger your obsession, the better.
- **Real clues.** Clues are written to be solved, not to fill space — it is a crossword, not a word search. Example clues from real puzzles: “Infamous island prison that saw a famous 1962 escape (8)” → ALCATRAZ; “Softest mineral on the Mohs scale (4)” → TALC.
- **Solving.** Tap a cell, type with the app’s own keyboard, and each word locks when it is right. Hints can reveal a letter or check a word.
- **Daily crossword.** A fresh grid every morning.
- **Streaks.** Solve any puzzle each day to keep a streak alive. A streak freeze covers one missed day; you can hold two.
- **Editor picks and bundles.** Each week, editors pick standout puzzles and sign their name to them, and publish a themed bundle — a set of puzzles on one subject with a note from the editor who put it together.
- **Community.** Players publish the puzzles they make; others browse what’s just been created and what’s trending, and solve them.
- **Badges and titles.** Tiered achievements, some hidden until found. Clearing a themed bundle awards a title shown on your profile.
- **Sharing.** Share a result, or the puzzle itself as a card carrying your name. The link opens a playable web page, so the recipient can solve it in any browser without the app.
