What is CrossIQ?
A crossword app for iPhone. Type any topic and it builds a real, properly clued crossword around it, usually in under thirty seconds. There’s also a fresh grid every morning, puzzles other players made, and weekly picks and themed bundles from the editors.
What can I make a crossword about?
Anything you can name: lighthouse keeping, curling terminology, great art forgeries, your favourite band. As the app puts it, the bigger your obsession, the better.
Are the clues any good?
They’re written to be solved, not to fill space: no word-search filler. Answers interlock across and down like a classic crossword, and each week the editors pick the standouts and sign their name to them.
Is there a daily puzzle?
Yes, a fresh grid every morning. Solve any puzzle each day to keep your streak alive. A streak freeze covers one missed day, and you can hold two.
Can I share a crossword with friends?
Yes. Share your result, or the puzzle itself as a card with your name on it. Whoever opens the link can play it in their browser, even without the app.
What does it cost?
CrossIQ is free to download and play, with ads. CrossIQ Pro is an optional subscription that removes ads and adds unlimited hints and generous creation limits.
